One day in the mid 1980's, I was depressed and wondering why no one would invest in me.  Then from "out of nowhere" I got the bright idea to walk over the bridge between my perspective and theirs to pay a visit to the other side. What I found there were other Creative Spirits aching for my way of life. That's right, my foray into the other side attracted potential lenders who secretly wanted what I already had and were willing to support me.

There was only one catch.

They couldn't support me unless I could prove I was really committed to my idea by writing a business plan. On the surface level, it may seem that the only reason a lender wants a business plan is so they have written proof that you have what it takes to pay them back.

Actually, a business plan serves a much higher purpose than that. A business plan proves to YOU that you have what it takes to manage a successful business.

And what does it take to manage a successful business?

I'm glad you asked! All it really takes to manage a successful business is for your Creative Spirit and Logical Mind to be able to dance together without stepping on each other's toes, and even though the lenders out there might not use my choice of words, I think they feel the same way. That's why most of them are so adamant that you write a business plan before they hand over the money.

How about that? They actually have a valid point in all this after all!

My eWorkbook, Business Planning for Creative Spirits, takes you through the process of writing a business plan in a way that honors both your fun lovin' Creative Spirit and your brilliant Logical Mind. This collaboration means you will produce a document that will be praised for its thoroughness and professional polish by anyone out there in the 'unreal' world- which by the way is filled with Creative Spirits who would love to invest in your idea - and allows you to confidently step into your future as an entrepreneur.

But what if your business idea doesn't require outside funding?

Great question! Why would you want to invest your precious time and hard earned money into an idea when the funding of this adventure is going to rest squarely on your capable shoulders?

My answer is simple. Your time is precious and your money — at least at this point in your journey — is hard earned. Investing these two valuable assets without the necessary skills to successfully create more is a waste of precious resources (in my humble opinion of course).

If you look at the big picture that is your life, writing a business plan is a relatively small investment in time and money to become a walking talking expert about your business idea.

And the good stuff doesn't stop there.

Using my Business Planning for Creative Spirits method you also get, at no extra charge, a priceless new decision making tool that you can use in all areas of your life when the challenging times show up.

Challenging times? What's this about challenging times? Ah……..here we are at the crux of the matter. Did you think I could promise an end to challenging times by writing a business plan?

I'm sorry my Love, that's something I can't do for you. However what I can do is tell you how I view the concept of challenge. I see challenge as a method the universe uses to test us on how serious we are about our choices — nothing more, nothing less. If you can see challenge from this perspective, challenging times can then be put in their proper place, and the proper place as I see it, is underfoot to be used as fertilizer to produce abundant success in life.

With practice this can easily be done, and you will get lots of practice at putting challenge in its proper place by using my priceless new-to-you tool while writing your business plan.

And what is the name of this exciting new tool?

Have I told you lately that you ask very powerful questions?

The name of this exciting new tool is PLAN BE.

You may be familiar with Plan B, which I describe as a reaction to life's ever changing, never ending ways. The only thing about using this particular problem solving approach, especially when you are self employed, is that you always have to be on guard against the unavoidable changes in customer tastes and your own personal growth.

Plan BE is a completely different way of operating. Plan BE enables you to react with whatever life brings into your world because you have an intimate knowledge of what's really important to you. When choices are made from this place, you can meet any challenge that tries to block your way with self-reliant joy and purposefulness.

Just imagine. Life moves at an amazing pace, but you feel you are in complete control because the gray areas of indecision and 'should dos' have disappeared off your radar screen. Plan B creates stress, Plan BE releases stress, and there is a big difference between the two when you are talking about quality of life.

My method of writing a business plan is effective because I focus on the importance of fitting your business idea into your Life, not visa versa. Based on my own personal experience and the personal experience of my magnificently creative clients, this has proved to be a much more rewarding way to approach the business world. We all have fantastic Life Plans that happen to contain a Successful Business, and that's what I also want for you.

Here are the success stories from just a couple of my clients who have used my method of Business Planning for Creative Spirits:
